ZEYNEP BUYUKBAYRAK

FOUNDER and concept designer

Zeynep Büyükbayrak is a ceramic artist and creative director based in Barcelona. Her studio, TÖZ, is a personal playground where she presents her ceramic sculptures alongside a curated selection of wearable pieces, objects, and other creative experiments.

After studying art direction and multimedia production in Milan, Zeynep returned to her hometown of Istanbul in 2000 and co-founded Lab 34, a creative studio focused on concept design for the music and event industries. There, she honed her skills in event organization, sponsorship relations, and the production of branded merchandise.

In 2005, she launched Pag, a design agency and concept store that collaborated with artists and illustrators to create distinctive paper and textile products. Her work during this period included partnerships with renowned museum shops such as Istanbul ModernSalt, and MoMA. In 2018, she relocated to Barcelona, where she founded TÖZ and continues to expand her artistic practice and creative collaborations.

Zeynep blends her love of material experimentation, narrative, and subculture—offering a continually evolving, multidisciplinary body of work that includes ceramics, textiles, and designed objects. Alongside her studio practice, she spends her time playing ping pong, collecting odd and peculiar objects, and reading widely.
